Ctek Charger and Solar Regulator
Mounted in the rear drivers side quarter where the optional locker is. Charging a 75 Ah Gel Cell which is also wired to charge off the vehicle while travelling.

Ctek running off added 240v power point
Ctek running off added 240v power point
Added a 240v (switched active & neutral for c'vans) point off the back of the RCD. Our Kanga already had the power option. The 8mm˛ DC cable comes up through the floor via IP68 cable glands between the battery box and the wheel arch. |
|
|
Added clear tube to protect the trailer plug & power.
Anderson plug & 8mm˛ runs back to charge the aux power in the camper and is paralleled to the aux battery controlled by the Pirhana DBE-150S |

Modified Kitchen
We didn't like the lack of bench space or dripping water on the cast iron cooker when drying the dishes. Modifications were required. Off to the sheet metal shop. I also added a hoop to hold a draining rack.
(Thanks to Steve at Snelling Engineering in Shepparton for his assistance...) |

Covering the hammertone painted bench top to the right of the stove was required too.
1mm sheet with corners folded and welded was used to cover the bench top between the stove and camper. The hammertone benchtop was the other thing we didn't like about the kitchen. |

Stove cover and wind break
The stove cover is 1.2mm and folded to go around the tap. It lifts up and the triangular side folds out and bolts into a rivet nut on the lip of the kitchen to support it all. |
|
|
Corner support folds up to a magnet holding it up.
A strip of plated steel is riveted to the support to hold to the magnet. |

12v power outlets
Power needed to get into the camper for lighting
Where to put a socket was the issue though. |

Socket & recess
In the end I took a 38mm holesaw to the ply base and bared the metal below. This allowed a hole to be drilled (step drills are fantastic) to accept the 12v Merit (Hella) socket. This worked so well I ended up adding another so there are now 2 outlets. |

|
A small notch was chiselled out to allow for the hinge.
Now it sits below the mattress level and can't foul on the folded canvas. |

|
A 12v accessory socket was added near the kitchen
Decided to come out behind the hatch to protect the socket from stone damage, and so the light lead doesn't need to hang over the bench. |

Anderson plug to connect solar panels
Utilising red to highlight that this is an input not a potential outlet and a matching plug on 10m of 6mm cable (4.6mm˛) will go off to the solar panels. I'm going to make some alloy channel mounts to mount panels on the high side of the roof (when open) but will still need to be able to move them away from the trailer when camped in the shade. |
